Celeris Systems Inc. is seeking a highly experienced and energetic Senior Technical Writer to support the US Space Force, Space Systems Command. This role is critical in performing operational maintenance and sustainment of ground-based radars that are essential for US and Allied strategic missile surveillance, warning, defense, and space surveillance missions. The Senior Technical Writer will work closely with the government customer, the Program Manager, and the Chief Engineer to ensure the responsive and coherent planning, development, and delivery of modifications to the PARCS and UEWR radar hardware and software in response to change requests and deficiency reports. In this position, the Senior Technical Writer will be responsible for writing and editing complex engineering specifications, user manuals, reports, briefings, presentations, guidelines, and other project deliverables to meet contract requirements. This includes developing, revising, and producing change pages for technical orders, as well as reviewing the content of technical documentation for quality assurance. The role requires ensuring the proper application of applicable government standards and guidelines for technical writing, which is crucial for maintaining the integrity and clarity of the documentation produced. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in a related field and have at least five years of experience in technical writing. They must be adept at gathering and interpreting complex technical information for both technical and non-technical audiences. Excellent organizational skills and a high level of interpersonal skills are mandatory, as the candidate must be a self-motivated team player with a demonstrated ability to manage projects, tasks, and special assignments independently. The ability to manage documentation tasks for multiple products simultaneously is essential, as is the capability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment with minimal supervision.
