About the position

GDIT is seeking a Technical Writer I (Intern) to support the OneGDIT Enterprise Service Desk Program in Bossier City, LA. This internship offers the opportunity to work on innovative projects while developing technical writing skills. Interns will engage in knowledge management programs, create documentation, and collaborate with experienced professionals to enhance their learning experience.

Responsibilities

• Reviews usage and effectiveness of knowledge management system and knowledge articles
• Updates and improves existing knowledge base to enhance content and customer service
• Creates job aids and SOPs for incident and problem resolution
• Identifies recurring incidents for prioritization of job aid/SOP creation
• Performs operational duties in support of compliance documentation
• Coordinates the verification, approval, and processing of document revisions
• Tracks document activity to ensure timeliness and process efficiency
• Conducts research and analysis for new content creation and document maintenance

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university with at least one year of school remaining
