About the position

The Technical Writer II | Data Analytics role at Epsilon involves creating, revising, and maintaining technical documentation for IRS EFO Managers, focusing on data insights and reporting within Power BI. The position requires collaboration with IRS management to manage content and develop comprehensive documentation that meets organizational standards. The role is essential in translating complex information into user-friendly content and ensuring effective communication of data insights to support business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Create, revise, and maintain technical documentation for IRS EFO Managers.
  • Manage EFO content with IRS Management using Power BI.
  • Leverage experience in data analysis, technical writing, and product management to support EFO business objectives.
  • Develop comprehensive documentation that meets organizational standards.
  • Translate complex information into simple, polished, and engaging content.
  • Write user-friendly content that meets the needs of the target audience.
  • Develop and maintain detailed content of appropriate reference materials.
  • Evaluate current content and develop innovative approaches for improvement.
  • Research, outline, write, and edit new and existing content, working closely with EFO Management.
  • Identify all documentation repositories, revise and edit, and determine the best solution for data compilation and centralized storage.
  • Research, create, and maintain information architecture templates that uphold organizational and legal standards.
  • Develop content in alternative media forms for maximum usability.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years' industry experience with technical writing and/or data analytics.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex datasets to uncover insights that drive strategic decision-making.
  • Intermediate to Expert level of experience with MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, Adobe, or similar writing/editing tools.
  • Experience with the Power BI platform, including managing and visualizing content.
  • Proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex or technical topics.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working with engineering to improve user experience: design, UI, and help refine content.
  • Experience writing documentation and procedural materials for multiple audiences.
