The writer will organize material and complete writing assignments according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology. The role may involve maintaining records and files of work and revisions, selecting photographs, drawings, sketches, diagrams, and charts to illustrate material, assisting in laying out material for publication, and arranging for typing, duplication, and distribution of material. The writer will receive assignments and technical information from a supervisor or senior writer and may observe production, developmental, or experimental activities to expand or verify the operating procedures provided and details.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Two (2) years of experience revising or writing material that is mostly standardized for Test Plans, Test Reports, Risk Hazard Assessment, and Safety Procedures.
• U.S. Citizen.
• Must have or be able to obtain a security clearance.

• Familiar with test and evaluation related documentation and staffing approval requirements.
• Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
