About the position

SITEC is seeking a Technical Writer at the mid-senior level to support the improvement of Cybersecurity for the Information System at the customer site. This full-time position involves preparing, reviewing, revising, and maintaining various technical documents and operational directives. The role requires collaboration with subject matter experts and the customer team to ensure high-quality documentation and adherence to technical standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and maintaining operations documentation, user guides, manuals, and technical publications.
• Gather technical information and prepare written text for various types of documents.
• Maintain a current internal documentation library.
• Use multiple word processing and presentation tools such as MS Word, PowerPoint, and Visio.
• Work with developers to produce quality documentation and training materials.
• Research highly technical subject matter and organize information from multiple sources.
• Write technical copy for various types of documents under general direction.
• Produce defense acquisition documentation, user manuals, and training manuals for DoD electronic equipment and systems.
• Interpret engineering and maintenance drawings to understand and blend large quantities of computer-related information.

Requirements

• TS/SCI with Polygraph
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
• Six (6) years' experience as a Technical Writer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
• Four (4) years of additional Technical Writer experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
