We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Technical Writer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating, editing, and maintaining high-quality documentation that communicates complex technical information clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences. This role is crucial in ensuring that all documentation is accurate, comprehensive, and accessible to users with varying levels of technical expertise. The Technical Writer will work closely with various stakeholders to gather information, understand requirements, and produce documentation that meets the needs of the organization and its clients. In this position, you will create and maintain electronic files for transactional documentation, correspondence, and contact management to support work tracking, productivity, and service level agreements. You will verify data to ensure integrity and accuracy, which is essential for maintaining high standards in documentation. Additionally, you will track the workflow of multiple concurrent tasks and maintain a detailed understanding of the status of various tasks owned by underwriters and brokers. This requires strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively. You will employ standard practices and tools to research and gather routine information, including background on individual or group requesting insurance coverage and carrier guidelines. Completing pre-underwriting activities and evaluating risk in support of the underwriting process will also be part of your responsibilities. You will assess the completeness of the underwriting package before the underwriter is required to review it, ensuring that all necessary information is available for decision-making. Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work closely with underwriters and brokers to perform pre-bind and post-bind activities and confirm policy issuance instructions. Acting as a liaison, you will communicate directly with agents, insurance carriers, clients, and internal and external contacts on behalf of underwriters to ensure implementation progress and address potential issues. Conducting prompt communications via telephone and e-mail will be essential to facilitate smooth operations and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.
