About the position

The Technical Writer V position involves creating and revising technical documentation, including policies and procedures, to support Systems Analysts and Business Analysts. The role requires extensive experience in technical writing, with a focus on gathering information from subject matter experts and presenting it in a clear and organized manner. The candidate will also be responsible for developing various types of diagrams and establishing documentation formats.

Responsibilities

• Assist Systems Analysts and Business Analysts by collecting information through interviews and drafting documents.
• Compile data collected into policy, procedural, or technical documents.
• Collect revision requests and perform revisions on existing documentation.
• Develop flow, ladder, and other types of Visio diagrams.
• Establish format requirements for various types of documentation.
• Create templates.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of relevant experience in technical writing.
• Expert in MS Word, Visio, and Adobe Acrobat.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to track and meet multiple deadlines.
• Ability to interpret and understand technical subject matter.
• Ability to work well with subject matter experts to gather information for documents.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge and experience with SharePoint.
