About the position

The Technical Writer position at Actalent involves collaborating with laboratory production employees to document process improvements and changes. This role is essential for ensuring that engineering and laboratory priorities are accurately captured and communicated through updated documentation. The position requires independent work and regular interaction with production teams to align on priorities and review progress.

Responsibilities

• Attend daily stand-up meetings with production to align with priority focus or changes.
• Work directly with a production employee to capture process improvements/changes for documentation.
• Work independently to close on pending work instructions for engineering.
• Meet weekly with production engineering and laboratory management to review status and confirm engineering and laboratory priorities.
• Submit all changes to engineering in a designated time for review.
• Conduct a monthly cross-functional status meeting to discuss progress and strategic goals.

Requirements

• Minimum 2-year degree in a technical writing or communications field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in procedural creation and updates in a technical industry.
• Experience reviewing user documentation for production or service.
