Our engineers are responsible for the architecture, engineering, integration, operations, maintenance, and sustainment of a worldwide multi-level/multiple classification Enterprise IT environment enabling collaboration between the US and Foreign parties. In this exciting position, you will use your unique talents and make an immediate impact as a Technical Writer. As a Technical Writer, you will be responsible for the preparation, review, revision, and maintenance of technical documents including software and systems engineering, system operations, testing, and user documentation. You will write and edit technical documentation for all of the project's hardware and software to include installation, configuration, and how-to documentation. Additionally, you will create code documentation for software, produce implementation guides and end-user guides for capabilities, provide field, data definition, and data flow documentation, and format technical publications from pamphlets, technical drawings, and consultations with technical personnel and other available resources.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the preparation, review, revision, and maintenance of technical documents including software and systems engineering, system operations, testing, and user documentation.
  • Writes and edits technical documentation for all of the project's hardware and software to include installation, configuration, and how-to documentation.
  • Creates code documentation for software; produces implementation guides and end-user guides for capabilities.
  • Provides field, data definition, and data flow documentation.
  • Formats technical publications from pamphlets, technical drawings, and consultations with technical personnel and other available resources.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
  • Master's degree may be substituted for two (2) years of experience, reducing the requirement to six (6) years of experience.
  • Four (4) years of additional technical writing experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree.
  • Eight (8) years' experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
