About the position

We are seeking 3 Technical Writers to support a Repair Process Engineer and a Process Control/Quality Engineer by reviewing relevant Aftermarket Technical Information and building, writing, and overhauling Repair Process Plans. In this role, you will work closely with these engineers to modify and update current work instructions to improve clarity, content, and detail. The work instructions need to be step-by-step and clear for mechanics on the floor to follow. You will be responsible for typing, inputting, and arranging data in the work instructions, ensuring adherence to an existing style guide (e.g., warnings in red and bold).

Responsibilities

  • Review and interpret engine manuals and other technical data to develop repair and overhaul methods.
  • Determine processes and dimensions for repair plans.
  • Create and update work instructions to ensure clarity and detail.
  • Ensure timely project completion by coordinating with other departments.
  • Modify and update current work instructions to improve clarity and content.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of technical writing/work instruction/documentation writing experience.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with Office 365 suite, including Project and Visio.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with various departments.
