About the position

The Technical Writer role involves developing comprehensive documentation that adheres to organizational standards. The position requires a deep understanding of products and services to translate complex information into user-friendly content, ensuring it meets the needs of the target audience. The writer will collaborate with various departments to gather information and create detailed documentation, including procedure manuals and technical specifications, while also maintaining databases of reference materials.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive documentation that meets organizational standards.
• Translate complex product information into simple, polished, and engaging content.
• Write user-friendly content tailored to the target audience.
• Develop and maintain detailed databases of reference materials, including research and usability tests.
• Evaluate current content and develop innovative approaches for improvement.
• Research, outline, write, and edit new and existing content.
• Independently gather information from subject matter experts to create documentation.
• Work with development and support leads to identify documentation repositories and revise content as needed.
• Create and maintain information architecture templates that uphold organizational and legal standards.
• Update knowledge base articles.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business or a related field.
• 2-4 years of professional experience as a technical writer.
• Experience writing documentation and procedural materials for multiple audiences.
• Experience working to improve user experience, including design and UI.
• Ability to create visuals and diagrams for technical support content.
