The Technical Writer is responsible for writing clear and exact SOPs, Work Instructions, and other formalized documents for the operations team per quality standards. This position is part of the Learning and Development Team and will be located in Lodi, CA. In this role, you will have the opportunity to write clear and exact SOPs, Work Instructions, and other formalized documents for the operations team per quality standards. You will act as a site technical writing consultant, providing start to finish document development and professional advice. You will determine the clearest and most logical way to present information for greatest reader comprehension, meet with subject-matter experts to ensure specialized topics are appropriately addressed, and review and/or copyedit content developed by other members of the team.
Responsibilities
- Write clear and exact SOPs, Work Instructions, and other formalized documents for the operations team per quality standards.
- Act as site technical writing consultant, providing start to finish document development and professional advice.
- Determine the clearest and most logical way to present information for greatest reader comprehension.
- Meet with subject-matter experts to ensure specialized topics are appropriately addressed.
- Review and/or copyedit content developed by other members of the team.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- 2+ years of experience working in technical writing, project management, or related field
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite Tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Nice-to-haves
- Previous experience in operations, engineering, or operations support
- Instructional Design experience
- Mastery of Written Communication Skills
