About the position

The IT Trainer/Technical Writer at Omega Solutions Inc. is responsible for creating and documenting training materials to support the transition to ServiceNow and procedural documentation of Standard Pre-Approved Changes (SPACs). This role involves collecting training requirements, ensuring they are integrated into the Learning Management System (LMS), and tracking the status of training and documentation for stakeholders. The position requires collaboration with various service teams to provide training, review documentation, and address inquiries.

Responsibilities

• Document training materials for the DIT transition to ServiceNow.
• Create procedural documentation for Standard Pre-Approved Changes (SPACs).
• Facilitate the collection of training requirements for the LMS.
• Track and report on the status of training and documentation to stakeholders.
• Coordinate with multiple service teams to provide training and resolve questions.
• Prepare recorded training materials for the LMS.
• Prepare documentation for reviews with business stakeholders.
• Perform data entry and document preparation for other departments.
• Adhere to company standards and compliance policies.

Requirements

• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex technical requirements.
• Familiarity with ITIL and IT Service Management.
• Excellent analytical and time-management skills.
• Two years of experience as an IT Trainer with technical writing experience.
• Basic mathematical skills, including calculating percentages.
• Solid verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel).
• Ability to take initiative, multi-task, and prioritize effectively.

Nice-to-haves

• ITIL v3 2011 Foundations or advanced certifications.
