About the position

As a Technical Writer at Docusign, you will create clear, user-friendly documentation and content that helps customers understand and effectively use our products. You will focus on developing content for our products, product integrations, and apps, ensuring it meets the needs of both internal and external users. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to simplify complex information. You will work closely with engineers, product managers, and other team members to produce documentation that supports product adoption and enhances user experience. This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Manager, Product Documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Design, create, and publish content that is clear, accurate, and easy to understand
  • Develop and maintain technical and feature documentation for a range of audiences, including commercial end-users and enterprise admins
  • Ensure timely delivery of content that aligns with product releases and quality standards
  • Collaborate with internal teams, such as engineers and product managers, to gather information and incorporate feedback into documentation
  • Use feedback and data to make informed content decisions and improve documentation
  • Contribute to content standards and guidelines, ensuring consistency and clarity
  • Lead individual projects effectively, meeting deadlines and balancing multiple tasks
  • Review and revise existing content to ensure it meets current standards and user needs

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in technical writing or a related field
  • Experience with creating technical documentation, preferably in a high-tech environment (i.e., SaaS, software, or hardware)

Nice-to-haves

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Experience writing for a variety of audiences, including enterprise customers
  • Familiarity with structured-authoring frameworks or tools (e.g., DITA)
  • Ability to use feedback to improve content and contribute to documentation quality
