About the position

The Technical Writer position at Marvel Infotech Inc. is a full-time role based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating clear and accurate technical documentation that adheres to established style guidelines. This role requires a strong background in technical writing, with a focus on producing high-quality content that effectively communicates complex information to various stakeholders. The Technical Writer will collaborate closely with subject matter experts, engineers, and other team members to ensure the accuracy of technical descriptions, diagrams, and instructions. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of the Engineering Product Development life cycle process, as well as experience with PLM workflow and change management. Additionally, familiarity with HVAC products is preferred, as it will enhance the writer's ability to produce relevant documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Create clear and accurate technical documentation for various engineering projects.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and engineers to gather information and ensure accuracy in documentation.
  • Analyze data to develop well-structured documents that meet project requirements.
  • Utilize documentation tools such as Adobe Illustrator, Captivate, and Word to produce high-quality content.
  • Ensure compliance with style guidelines and maintain consistency across all documentation.
  • Organize and publish content using content management systems.
  • Review and proofread documents for grammar, spelling, and clarity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in technical writing.
  • Hands-on experience with documentation tools such as Adobe Illustrator, Captivate, and Word.
  • Proficient in technical writing with strong grammar, spelling, and proofreading skills.
  • Knowledge of content management systems for organizing and publishing content.
  • Understanding of the Engineering Product Development life cycle process, PLM workflow, and change management.

Nice-to-haves

  • HVAC product knowledge is preferred.
