About the position

The Technical Writer position at ABBTECH Professional Resources, Inc. involves creating clear and concise technical documents such as procedure manuals, service manuals, and other publications related to the installation, operation, and maintenance of various equipment. The role requires collaboration with engineers and technical experts to gather information and ensure accuracy in documentation, while adhering to established standards and conventions.

Responsibilities

• Write technical documents including procedure manuals, service manuals, and related publications.
• Acquire or verify knowledge of subject matter by interviewing workers and observing production methods.
• Review technical specifications, blueprints, sketches, and engineering drawings to ensure accuracy in documentation.
• Plan writing, editing, and review tasks to complete projects on time.
• Manage technical writing projects from outline creation to delivery.
• Utilize clear and concise language that meets customer standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience with 6 years of professional experience; or 4 years of experience with a related Master's degree.
• Minimum 5 years of experience with MS Office, MS Word, and Acrobat Authoring Tools, with proficiency in XML authoring.
• Minimum 5 years of experience writing technical content for manuals and publications.
• Experience in interviewing engineers and reviewing technical documents to gather information.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in teams and independently.
