About the position

The Technical Writer position at BCforward involves creating clear and concise documentation for business and technical architectural reviews. The role requires collaboration with various stakeholders to transform complex ideas into understandable content, while adhering to content guidelines and advocating for clarity in communication. This position is a contract-to-hire opportunity based in Columbus, OH, with a hybrid work model.

Responsibilities

• Create understandable technology-based review reports for senior executives, providing structure, context, and technical details.
• Write easy-to-read documentation covering all aspects of Business & Technical architectural reviews.
• Edit content from others to ensure a consistent voice, tone, and style.
• Follow the firm's content guidelines and contribute improvements to them.
• Collaborate with developers, information architects, designers, project managers, and other stakeholders to turn complex ideas into consumable content.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with business and technology partners, advocating for content clarity.

Requirements

• Proficient in technical writing, business applications, data usage, and word processing.
• Ability to understand the logic of code and construct simple data queries.
• Advanced business and data analysis skills, along with knowledge of business processes and applications.
• Advanced knowledge of change management and business continuity.
