About the position

Trillium Staffing is seeking an experienced Technical Writer to join our client's growing team in Green Bay, WI. This full-time, contract-to-hire position is with a well-established manufacturing company. The Technical Writer will play a crucial role in developing, writing, and editing various technical materials, including manuals, standard operating procedures (SOPs), installation guides, operation instructions, catalogs, and other related publications. The successful candidate will be responsible for gathering detailed information from the in-house Engineering and Research & Development departments to ensure accuracy and clarity in the materials produced. Additionally, the Technical Writer will collaborate with the marketing team to create online training manuals and instructional videos for client use. The ideal candidate will possess a firm understanding of electrical and mechanical processes, along with strong verbal and written communication skills. A customer service mindset is essential, as the Technical Writer will need to effectively communicate complex technical information to various stakeholders. This position offers a standard work schedule from Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with a starting wage ranging from $23 to $26 per hour, depending on experience. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of Technical Writing experience within manufacturing, required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a team player.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous experience with CAD software, strongly desired.
