About the position

The Technical Writer at NCR VOYIX will be responsible for creating and editing product documentation in collaboration with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Engineering teams. This role involves independently gathering information from subject matter experts to develop various technical documents, including procedure manuals, technical specifications, API documentation, installation manuals, and release notes. The position requires managing multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines, ensuring that all documentation meets project requirements and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Work with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Engineering teams to create product documentation.
• Write and edit new and existing content, collaborating with various departments to understand project requirements.
• Independently gather and research information from subject matter experts to develop, organize, and write procedure manuals, technical specifications, API documentation, installation manuals, and release notes.
• Handle multiple projects for different products simultaneously under very tight deadlines.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Technical Writer or similar role.
• Strong writing and editing skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to gather information from various sources and present it clearly and concisely.
• Experience with technical documentation tools and software.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with API documentation and technical specifications.
• Experience in the retail, restaurant, or banking industries.
• Knowledge of cloud-based SaaS solutions.
