About the position

Kforce has a client in Palm Beach Gardens, FL that is seeking a Technical Writer to produce high-quality documentation that contributes to the overall success of their products. The Technical Writer will join a team of talented developers, quality engineers, product managers, and usability experts to make their products easier to use. This role is crucial in ensuring that the documentation is not only comprehensive but also user-friendly, enabling end-users to effectively utilize the products offered by the company. The Technical Writer will be responsible for working closely with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of the product and the documentation requirements. This includes producing high-quality documentation that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audience. The writer will be tasked with writing easy-to-understand user interface text, online help, and developer guides. Additionally, they will create tutorials to assist end-users in navigating a variety of applications. Another key responsibility will be to analyze existing and potential content, focusing on reuse and single-sourcing opportunities. The Technical Writer will also create and maintain the information architecture, ensuring that all documentation is organized and accessible to users. This position requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to convey complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner, both in text and visuals.

Requirements

  • University degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent preferred
  • Proven working experience in technical writing of software documentation
  • Ability to deliver high quality documentation paying attention to detail
  • Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and pictures
  • Excellent written skills in English
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Basic familiarity with the SDLC and software development
