Responsibilities

  • Support Department of Defense (DoD) and other customers in coordinating, preparing, and developing written reports, briefs, and products that span a wide variety of technical and protection-related topics.
  • Support RMC's internal clients in the creation, development, and submission of proposal bids, corporate policies and procedures, and other documentation.
  • Write, review, edit, proofread, fact check, and format written and graphical content.
  • Apply appropriate government, military, and company writing style guidance to all products.
  • Peer review coordination and feedback adjudication.
  • Following established version control and archiving of documents.
  • Participate in and support ongoing training programs on topics including grammar, content, product development, information security, and software tools.
  • Attend conferences, working groups, meetings, and onsite assessments as needed.
  • Assist in onboarding and training new team members, as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Linguistics, Communications, or related field required.
  • 2+ Years of professional experience as a technical writer.
  • Security Clearance: Obtaining a DoD Secret Clearance.
  • Valid Passport: Possession of a current passport with a minimum of 8 months remaining until the expiration date.
  • Ability to maintain and access NIPR/SIPR accounts by monthly travel to employees designated regional site.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience or familiarity with DoD and military organizations, clients, and protocols is desirable.
  • Experience or familiarity with SharePoint 2010 or later is desirable.
