About the position

CACI is seeking a cleared Technical Support Analyst who will be providing writing and editing services across Intel Enablers/Mounted Systems. This position is based at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD and is Hybrid! The role involves producing and rewriting technical manual content, as well as performing editing and formatting to ensure that all documentation passes quality checks before review and signature. The Technical Writer will also create line art (2D, isometric) from CAD renders and exploded views to support detailed parts information and maintenance procedures. Additionally, the position requires composing and editing computer-generated flat line and isometric drawings, serving as a subject matter expert on technical data media innovation, and developing requirements while providing technical guidance for the preparation of technical publications. The Technical Writer will assist leads, engineers, and analysts by advising on content outlines and structuring. Collaboration with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) is essential to design, write, revise, peer-review, and/or edit technical documentation, including whitepapers, standard operating procedures, plans, metrics, outlines, or presentations related to demonstrations or deliverables. The role also involves assisting with management for updates, version control, and revisions to the knowledge management repository using tools such as Point, Confluence, JIRA, and Constant View. Participation in Intel Enablers/Mounted Systems calls and meetings is required to capture new tasking and ensure all open tickets and tasks are properly managed and addressed through various platforms. The Technical Writer will collaborate consistently with leads, customers, and the team to capture and provide updates, periodically report metrics and corresponding analysis for client review, and understand and monitor operations processes, including Business Continuity Planning and Strategic Planning. The position requires ensuring effective controls, countermeasures, and processes are in place and optimized to maintain a strong organizational posture, as well as identifying gaps and bottlenecks in the presentation and reporting of data within the JIRA dashboard, including issues related to schedule, performance, capacity, interoperability, scalability, and manageability.

Requirements

  • An active DoD Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of position-specific relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in common software such as AutoCAD, Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop, ISODraw.
  • Proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, and Point.
  • Knowledge of JIRA/Confluence/Agile methodologies and Technical Writing.
