About the position

The Technical Writer/Interactive Media role at Actalent involves creating clear and concise technical documents, including procedure manuals and service manuals, related to the installation, operation, and maintenance of various equipment. The position requires acquiring knowledge through interviews, observations, and reference materials to produce effective documentation that meets project deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Write, rewrite and/or edit technical documents such as technical procedure manuals, user manuals, programming manuals, service manuals, and operational specifications.
• Acquire subject knowledge by interviewing product developers and engineers, observing performance of production methods, and referring to technical specifications and blueprints.
• Oversee preparation of illustrative materials and Illustrated Parts Breakdown material, selecting drawings, sketches, diagrams, and charts.
• Conduct and participate in project team meetings and meet deadlines as determined by project schedule.
• Conduct quality review of materials.

Requirements

• Proficient in technical writing and editing.
• Experience with XML and MS Word.
• Familiarity with spreadsheets and relational databases.
• Knowledge of supply chain processes and fixed wing platforms.
