About the position

The Technical Writer position focuses on creating clear and comprehensive technical documentation for an LNG project. The role requires collaboration with various project team members, including management, engineering, and subcontractors, to ensure that complex information is presented in an easily understandable manner for a broad audience. The writer will work both independently and as part of a team to generate innovative content that meets project objectives.

Responsibilities

• Determine the clearest and most logical way to present information for greatest reader comprehension.
• Write and edit other writers' technical documents/manuals according to customer specifications.
• Meet with subject-matter experts to ensure specialized topics are appropriately addressed.
• Analyze information required for the development or update of policy, procedure, and form documentation.
• Review and/or copyedit content developed by other members of the team.
• Research existing data to maximize use of previously developed text and/or illustrations.
• Complete assigned tasks according to established deadlines, project specifications, and company policies and procedures.

Requirements

• 8+ years' experience writing complete, complex technical documents, including organizing the documents and working with internal and external personnel.
• LNG Technical Writing experience.
• Proficient knowledge and understanding of administration, supervision, and management.
• Proficient with ANSI/NEETA Standards, NFPA 70 E, IEC, ISA, NFPA 59A Standards.
• BS Degree in English, Communication, Business Administration OR Technical Writing.
