The Technical Writer will prepare text and figures/figure legends for patent applications in the life sciences and chemical areas using material provided by inventors, such as scientific manuscripts, grant applications, poster presentations, or talks/presentations. This position requires strong technical knowledge in the life sciences/chemistry and the ability to review critically scientific material. The successful candidate is expected to have solid communication skills, both verbal and written, and should demonstrate excellent time management and organizational skills. This position may work remotely on a regular basis pursuant to our hybrid working policy. The Technical Writer will work a reduced schedule of 0.5 full time equivalency (FTE) with an average of 80 hours per month, as needed, and is expected to bill at least 800 hours to clients annually. Paid vacation and other aspects of the compensation package will be prorated based on FTE. This position will not be eligible for some plans due to the reduced schedule.
