About the position

As a Technical Writer at Scientific Research Corporation, you will play a crucial role in creating and maintaining technical documentation that supports the U.S. Navy's naval communications systems. Your primary responsibilities will include developing system administration guides, technical test procedures, and standard operating procedures by collaborating closely with subject matter experts and engineers. This position requires you to actively participate in technical meetings with engineering and project leadership to ensure that the documentation is accurate, comprehensive, and meets the needs of the end-users. In addition to documentation creation, you will be responsible for maintaining existing U.S. Navy documentation, ensuring that all materials are up-to-date and compliant with current standards. Your work will directly contribute to the operational efficiency and effectiveness of naval communications systems, making your role vital to the success of the projects you support. You will be expected to utilize various software tools, including Adobe Pro, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel, to produce high-quality documentation that adheres to established guidelines and formats. Requirements

  • Must possess an active Secret clearance.
  • Experience with desktop publishing.
  • Experience with Adobe Pro, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience in writing technical manuals and technical procedures.
