The Technical Writer is responsible for creating and maintaining high quality, clear, concise, and effective documentation for internal and external audiences. This person serves as the business partner to business line or support unit leadership, providing core strategy and technical writing documentation. The Technical Writer will work with information technology leaders to summarize and communicate the activity within their teams. This individual will write, edit, and publish executive summaries for company leadership. Candidates located in Wisconsin are strongly preferred. As a Technical Writer, you will contribute to the business strategy by helping business leaders identify, prioritize, build, and deliver internal technical writing and documentation for key initiatives, announcements, interventions, and other communications on an as-needed basis. You will develop end-to-end delivery of timely, targeted, and effective communication projects, accurately interpreting, translating, and writing a range of materials in suitable formats for a variety of audiences. Additionally, you will manage special projects and participate in functional and cross-functional initiatives. You will also manage the coordination of the business's communications via technical writing and delivery through internal communications and executive communications. Your role will involve measuring the effectiveness of business line technical documentation and recommending improvements where appropriate. You will be responsible for fully understanding and following established technical writing protocol to effectively and efficiently publicize appropriate messages and information for response to critical incidents as well as standard communications. Furthermore, you will serve as a liaison to the business line and strategy and technical organizations to ensure communication services are aligned with internal customer needs.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, English, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • 4-7 years of experience in banking, technical writing, or a related field.
