RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop a thorough understanding company products and their individual audiences. Meet regularly with product owners, managers, developers, and SMEs to discuss upcoming projects, releases, and technical issues. Research, write, and proof product and service documentation for internal and external use. Determine the most effective way to present information and instructions to ensure a high degree of reader comprehension. Capture or create graphics and illustrations to complement documents and presentations. Collaborate with sales and marketing to share information and assist in creating product-specific collateral. Revise and edit existing articles, documents, and FAQs as necessary. Create and adapt to project schedules and meet deadlines. Invest time into professional development to remain up-to-date on technology and product trends. Develops an understanding of the audience the documentation serves and can apply reasoning in making documentation decisions. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's Degree in English, Communications, Information Technology, Education, or equivalent professional experience. 2+ years professional writing and editing experience. Writing and editing documentation for software or technology is preferred. Exceptional written communication skills - grammar, punctuation, and syntax. The ability to understand and explain complex concepts. Excellent planning and organizational skills. Proficiency with basic HTML. Experience using topic-based authoring software or content management systems, such as MadCap Flare, WordPress, Freshdesk, Confluence etc. Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
