About the position
ECS is seeking a Technical Writer to work at Vandenberg Space Force Base, CA. The role involves creating and maintaining technical documentation for various projects, including software applications and hardware devices. The Technical Writer will ensure documentation is accurate, consistent, and clear, while adhering to established standards and guidelines. This position is contingent upon contract award and requires a strong background in technical writing and excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a Platform and Space C2 Enablement Description Document (P&SC2EDD)
- Properly document technical documents, ensuring they are configuration controlled and up to date with security relevant software/firmware upgrades
- Make associated documentation available to the Government
- Develop and maintain necessary cybersecurity documentation, including system security plans, risk assessments, and incident response plans, ensuring they are configuration controlled through the Space C2 CMB.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of experience in technical writing
- Valid Secret Clearance
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
- Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices
- Good written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information in simple language
- Broad knowledge of technology
