About the position

The Judge Group Inc. is seeking a Technical Writer to join their team in Lone Tree, Colorado. This role is crucial for developing and organizing technical documentation that facilitates effective communication across various teams and stakeholders. The Technical Writer will be responsible for creating and maintaining a comprehensive document repository, ensuring that all technical materials are user-friendly and accessible. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical writing, with at least three years of experience in developing and organizing technical documentation, and a minimum of one year of experience using Confluence. In this position, the Technical Writer will collaborate closely with engineers and subject-matter experts to generate content that accurately communicates project details and technical concepts. This includes the development of presentation materials and documentation using Microsoft PowerPoint and Word. The candidate will also be expected to review existing documentation structures, refine and organize content, and ensure that all materials are consistent and accurate. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential, as the Technical Writer will need to convey complex information in a clear and engaging manner. The role requires a self-motivated individual who is eager to learn new technical concepts and contribute to the team's success. The Technical Writer will be tasked with generating innovative ideas for content and workflow solutions, meeting with leadership to understand documentation needs, and developing an intuitive documentation repository structure that meets the technical needs of individual teams while ensuring ease of access for leadership. Attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and proficiency in relevant software tools are critical for success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Own the development and organization of the team's document repository.
  • Review existing Confluence document repository structure.
  • Meet with subject-matter experts to ensure specialized topics are addressed.
  • Generate innovative ideas for content and workflow solutions.
  • Review content with individual teams to understand their specific goals.
  • Work with leadership to understand their documentation needs.
  • Develop an easy to use, intuitive documentation repository structure that meets individual team's technical needs and leadership's ease of access needs.
  • Effectively communicate documentation solutions.
  • Refine, organize, and develop architecture and continuous integration (CI) and release documentation.
  • Determine the clearest and most logical way to present information for greatest reader comprehension.
  • Review and/or copyedit content developed by other members of the team.

Requirements

  • 3+ years developing and organizing technical documentation.
  • 1+ years' experience with Confluence.
  • Ability to write user-friendly, engaging copy about highly technical subjects.
  • Ability to understand and accurately translate technical information for a general audience.
  • Excellent problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, and Confluence.
  • Fluency with common office software, Lucid Charts and PlantUML are a plus.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and be a self-starter.
  • Ability to check all technical material for consistency and accuracy.
  • Exceptional attention to detail skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Basic business case aptitude is desirable.
  • Fluency with Lucid Charts and PlantUML.
