As a Technical Writer at Raft, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Cyber Operations Branch program office, where your development activities will adhere to the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). This framework provides proven principles, practices, and competencies to implement agile and DevOps methodologies at scale. The program office embodies the principles of DevSecOps, which integrates security into every phase of the software development lifecycle, from initial design through integration, testing, deployment, and software delivery. Your contributions will help develop two deployable defensive cyber solutions aimed at protecting, defending, and responding to United States Space Force (USSF) mission systems. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing, planning, and evaluating network communications systems. You will provide essential documentation, project tracking, and management reporting. Your input will be both tactical and strategic, influencing overall network communications planning and related projects. You will rely on your extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, performing a variety of tasks that require a wide degree of creativity and innovation. Raft is looking for an experienced Technical Writer who is not only skilled in technical documentation but also possesses a collaborative spirit and a strong desire to advocate for end-users. You will be expected to demonstrate intellectual curiosity and empathy, along with solid communication skills. A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree is required, and candidates with a Top Secret (TS) security clearance (with SCI and SAP eligibility) will be highly preferred. Familiarity with tools such as Sketch, FIGMA, InVision, Visio, Docusaurus, and Adobe Creative Suite is also desired. You should have experience in planning and participating in early-stage discovery, framing, and ideation, as well as a foundational understanding of Agile methodologies and the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). Relevant experience in the Department of Defense (DoD) or industry work related to Space Systems Command and Cyber Operations Branch (SSC/SZYO) is a plus.
