About the position
The Technician position at NHK Seating of America involves working in a fast-paced, Just-In-Time production environment, primarily focused on the assembly and inspection of automotive seats. The role requires a strong understanding of quality standards and customer requirements, with an emphasis on precision and mechanical aptitude. Technicians will be responsible for ensuring that materials and components meet quality specifications throughout the production process.
Responsibilities
- Display a working knowledge of the company handbook, customer requirements, and quality standards.
- Inspect materials, components, and assemblies at various stages of production.
- Perform accurate readings with precision measuring instruments.
- Understand and read blueprints effectively.
- Utilize CMM and PC for quality checks as needed.
- Grasp and use air and battery-powered tools such as grinders, plasma cutters, and saws.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management.
- Engage in problem-solving and root cause analysis as required.
- Complete all other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Good mechanical aptitude.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience with arc/mig welding.
- Ability to perform effective problem solving and root cause analysis.
- Proficient in using precision measuring instruments.
- Understanding of blueprint readings.
- CMM and PC experience highly desired.
- Ability to walk or stand for up to 12 hours.
- Good written, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Excel.
