About the position

Maximus is seeking a Technician 2 - IT Site Services to provide on-site technical support at the Harrisburg, PA office. This role involves hands-on assistance with network equipment, troubleshooting, and maintaining IT assets, ensuring compliance with established service level agreements (SLAs). The technician will serve as a liaison between IT and program staff, supporting various software applications and hardware configurations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on/on-site support for network equipment and cabling.
  • Deliver Tier 2 Level support for issues requiring on-site inspection.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues for local and remote staff.
  • Become a subject matter expert for software applications and endpoint configurations.
  • Conduct routine equipment servicing in the field.
  • Perform installation, repair, management, and maintenance activities on-site.
  • Manage and maintain onsite IT equipment, including inventory and deployment.
  • Track IT assets and maintain updated information in the ITAM database.
  • Document and monitor problems to ensure timely resolution within SLAs.
  • Provide OS support for Windows, Mac, and Linux, including diagnostics.
  • Provide written updates for problem resolution in ticketing systems.
  • Escort vendors in data rooms and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
  • Assist in maintaining and updating software applications and desktop configurations.
  • Participate in support activities for transitioning newly trained staff into production.
  • Collaborate with IT departments and vendors to resolve technical issues.
  • Perform technology upgrades and refreshes.
  • Assist customers via IT Ticketing system in person, over the phone, and remotely.
  • Maintain Active Directory Users and Computers.
  • Administer user accounts and permissions for various applications.
  • Serve as a technical liaison between program staff and IT.
  • Assist with Service Desk surge support.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of related IT experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a polite and friendly manner, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
