About the position

The Technician Apprentice Program (TAP) - Body Apprentice at Caliber Collision is designed for individuals looking to start a career in vehicle repair. This full-time position involves learning to repair damaged vehicles to their pre-accident condition using industry-approved techniques. Apprentices will work under the guidance of a mentor, gaining hands-on experience and training in reading estimates, identifying damage, and ensuring quality repairs.

Responsibilities

• Perform all-purpose duties related to vehicle repair.
• Learn and apply industry-approved repair techniques to restore vehicles to pre-accident condition.
• Follow mentor's direction in learning to read estimates and identify vehicle damage.
• Repair vehicles and check work for quality and accuracy.
• Complete required training and certifications related to the Technician Apprentice Program.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have a valid driver's license and be eligible for coverage under Caliber's insurance policy.
• Ability to perform consistent physical activity, including reaching, kneeling, bending, squatting, and lifting objects over 50 lbs.
• Ability to understand written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to a fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous collision experience.
• Collision Vo-Tech certification.
