About the position
The Technician - Architectural Design role involves working closely with the architectural design team to develop project deliverables. This position is part of the Architectural and Structural Engineering Department and focuses on creating building models using digital design software while collaborating with a diverse team of professionals.
Responsibilities
- Work effectively in teams comprised of professionals with diverse skill sets, including engineers from other disciplines, scientists, and subcontracted professionals.
- Plan and design portions of projects of greater complexity, following design, construction, appropriate engineering and building codes, and government standards using design software and drawing tools.
- Function as BIM/CAD Coordinator on various projects if assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Architecture and 3+ years of relevant experience; or Associates Degree in Architecture or Architectural Technology and 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Thorough knowledge within architectural core competencies such as programming, schematic design, code research, design development, construction document development, specifications & materials research, document checking & coordination, building systems coordination, building cost analysis, and construction phase procedure.
