About the position

The Behavior Interventionist at Campbell Elementary School is responsible for supporting students with behavioral and cognitive challenges. This full-time position involves assisting staff in maintaining appropriate student behavior and may include leading social academic instructional groups (SAIG). The role requires strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff, all while working under the supervision of the building administrator and special education teachers.

Responsibilities

• Assist staff in addressing and maintaining appropriate student behavior.
• Support students with behavioral and cognitive challenges.
• Lead social academic instructional groups (SAIG).
• Assist in classroom organization and general supervision of students.
• Provide crisis intervention and resolution support.

Requirements

• Experience working with children, particularly those with behavioral issues.
• Strong communication skills.
