About the position

The Technician Development Academy EP Intern program at Ohio Cat is an 11-week internship designed to provide hands-on training in power generation equipment and engine service repair. Interns will participate in a structured program that includes both classroom instruction and practical lab work, totaling 440 hours of training in Cleveland, Ohio. This program aims to equip interns with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform operational duties in the field.

Responsibilities

• Participate in classroom and lab training sessions.
• Learn to perform operational duties related to power generation equipment.
• Gain skills in engine service repair.
• Work collaboratively with instructors and peers during training.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Good attendance record.
• Graduation from an accredited technical school with an emphasis on diesel engines.
• Ability to read and comprehend regulations and instructions.
• Strong organizational, computer, customer service, and communication skills.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Self-confidence, persistence, openness to change, discipline, and resilience.
