About the position

Prince Telecom is seeking qualified Field Technicians to join their team, focusing on connecting America through telecommunications services. The role involves installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting fiber optic internet and telephone services, ensuring customer satisfaction and adherence to company guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Install, disconnect, reconnect, add, change, and troubleshoot fiber optic internet and telephone services.
• Use small hand tools, power tools, and test equipment for installations.
• Install, set up, and configure residential networking equipment such as ONTs, routers, and switches.
• Perform testing on company-issued devices and customer devices to ensure service operates within prescribed parameters.
• Identify and remedy sources of customer-perceived issues.
• Drive a company vehicle safely between home/office, warehouse, and work sites.
• Maintain and stock vehicle and equipment for operational readiness.
• Complete paperwork accurately and report work order status updates.
• Provide customer service by greeting and interacting with customers professionally, including responding to escalations and repeated concerns.
• Educate customers regarding product and service usage.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver's license with a minimum of 2 years driving experience.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Experience or comfort working in tight spaces such as crawl spaces or attics.
• Ability to work through inclement weather.
• Experience in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to travel and work extended hours, including overtime and weekends as needed.
• Ability to lift, climb, and carry ladders weighing up to 80 lbs.
