About the position

The Technician - Field Service role at MacQueen Equipment LLC involves traveling to customer sites to perform inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on heavy equipment. This position is crucial for ensuring customer satisfaction through high-quality service and support, while also contributing to the company's commitment to integrity, innovation, and excellence.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site equipment inspections and maintenance at customer locations.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues in the field and perform necessary repairs.
• Collaborate with Service Manager to schedule and prioritize field service calls.
• Maintain accurate records of service activities, including work performed, parts used, and time spent.
• Build knowledge of dealer supported product lines, service standards, and procedures.
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment while working in the field.
• Maintain remote parts inventory.
• Willingness for overnight travel including some multi-day events.
• Act as ambassador of the company with customers.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years working in a full-time technician/mechanic role on heavy duty chassis.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical experience.
• Welding/cutting torch experience.
• Excellent skills in communication, interpersonal, organizational and attention to detail.
• Working usage of MS Office Suite and the ability to learn new technologies quickly.

Nice-to-haves

• Direct industry experience.
• Class B CDL.
