The I & E Trainee Technician position at Enterprise Products Partners L.P. is designed for individuals seeking to gain the necessary training and experience to become qualified I&E Technicians. This role involves a structured training program lasting 9-24 months, where trainees will learn about troubleshooting, testing, maintaining, and operating electrical systems in natural gas facilities and pipelines. The position also includes a $10,000 sign-on bonus and various location incentives.
Responsibilities
- Undergo orientation and training at a designated location for 9-24 months.
- Participate in various training courses related to I&E Technician duties.
- Receive on-the-job training alongside plant and pipeline personnel.
- Learn troubleshooting, testing, maintaining, installing, repairing, and operating electrical systems.
- Understand safety procedures, regulatory requirements, and handling of hazardous materials.
- Be prepared to relocate within the Texas operating region upon successful training completion.
Requirements
- Vocational-technical certificate or an Associates degree in Electronics and Instrumentation or related field is preferred.
- Experience in basic computer use including word processing, spreadsheet, and email software.
- Knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance of various types of equipment is required.
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
- Ability to interact effectively with co-workers, customers, and the public.
- Self-driven to learn and improve skills through training.
- Ability to work in outdoor environments under various weather conditions and terrains.
- Demonstrated ability to understand and repair mechanical and technical equipment.
- Willingness to work overtime.
