About the position
ProAmpac is seeking a reliable and diligent Ink Room Technician to join their team in Hartford, Wisconsin. This role is essential in maintaining the organization and inventory of inks used in the production process. The technician will work closely with press operators and be involved in formulating and mixing inks, ensuring quality and efficiency in the production of flexible packaging products.
Responsibilities
- Keep the ink room organized.
- Maintain reliable ink inventory.
- Order inks and solvents as needed.
- Formulate and mix inks for the presses.
- Collaborate with press operators on color matching.
- Transport hazardous waste to the shipping department.
- Maintain and organize waste manifest.
- Assist auditors during yearly waste audits.
Requirements
- Previous experience with inks and/or printing is preferred.
- Manufacturing experience is a plus.
- Keen attention to detail and accuracy.
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills with various stakeholders.
- Proactive problem-solving abilities.
- Self-motivated and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
