About the position

The Technician - Integration Engineer position at TalentBurst, Inc. in Huntsville, AL, is a contract role lasting for 6 months. This position is scheduled for C Shift, which runs from Friday to Sunday, 5 AM to 5:30 PM. The primary focus of this role is to ensure the cleanliness and integrity of hardware components through various cleaning and inspection methods. The technician will be responsible for cleaning and passivating hardware using techniques such as solvent/chemical cleaning, mechanical cleaning, ultrasonic cleaning, and precision cleaning methods. This role requires a strong understanding of safety protocols, as the technician will be handling hardware with overhead cranes, hoists, and other lifting equipment. In addition to cleaning, the technician will utilize titration and other direct measurement methods to analyze and correct solvent/chemical systems in the CPV Lab. Inspecting hardware is a critical responsibility, which will involve using visual inspections, UV light, borescopes, microscopic particle counts, and high-precision weighing methods. Once the hardware is accepted, the technician will package it and prepare it for storage or shipment. The role also includes performing shop-level maintenance and calibration of various equipment, such as pumps, tanks, filtration systems, and scales. Maintaining a clean and organized workspace in the CPV Lab and Certified Clean Room area is essential, and the technician must adhere to all safety regulations, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Responsibilities

  • Clean and passivate hardware using solvent/chemical, mechanical, ultrasonic, and precision cleaning methods.
  • Safely handle hardware utilizing overhead cranes, hoists, and associated lifting equipment.
  • Use titration and other direct measurement methods to analyze and correct CPV Lab solvent/chemical systems.
  • Inspect hardware using visual, UV light, borescope, microscopic particle count, and high-precision weighing methods.
  • Package accepted hardware and supplies for storage or shipment.
  • Perform shop-level maintenance and calibration of equipment such as pumps, tanks, filtration systems, scales, etc.
  • Conduct general housekeeping of CPV Lab and Certified Clean Room area.
  • Follow safety regulations and wear protective eyewear, steel-toe boots, and other applicable personal protective equipment.

Requirements

  • Experience working on fluid systems with applied chemistry fundamentals.
  • Strong attention to detail and a desire to solve problems.
  • Ability to lift items up to 40 lbs. and use lifting equipment and machinery for heavier hardware.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interface with software systems, databases, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior experience in precision cleaning of aerospace, medical, or other precision components.
  • Prior experience inspecting aerospace mechanical components or fluid systems.
  • Experience applying coatings to aerospace components.
