This role is part of Operations, which encompasses Integrated Supply Chain, Facilities, and Security, providing Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all company facilities. As a Technician in Integration Engineering II, you will be part of a small, passionate, and accomplished team of experts dedicated to the hands-on assembly and maintenance of cutting-edge rocket engine turbomachinery. Your contributions will significantly impact all aspects of Turbopump assembly, disassembly, testing, and tool/fixture design. You will also be responsible for providing critical feedback aimed at improving process control, capability, and repeatability, ensuring that the highest standards of quality and safety are maintained in the assembly of propulsion systems. In this position, you will engage in precision assembly of rocket engines, performing detailed component inspections using precision tools such as calipers and micrometers to tolerances as tight as 0.0001 inches. You will coordinate hardware processing tasks, including inspection, cleaning, and shipping, while managing hardware under stringent cleanliness requirements, particularly for liquid oxygen service. Safety is paramount, and you will be expected to work safely with hazardous systems that may contain chemicals or operate under high pressure. Additionally, you will assist engineers in reviewing design concepts and provide valuable feedback for improvements, all while innovating to enhance processes and increase operational efficiency.
