Under the direction of the Manager of IT Enterprise Operations, the Technician, IT Enterprise Operations I, will independently perform all aspects of field support including installation, troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of PCs and networked (Racked) equipment in their assigned region. This individual will interact with people and develop long term relationships with their customers. The Technician, IT Enterprise Operations I will be the first line of contact with the end users. This is a traveling tech role that will require travel to our offices in various states 4 days/week.

Responsibilities

  • Perform on-site servicing, repair and/or installation of hardware and software throughout assigned region.
  • Assist customers to diagnose problems and provide resolutions for technical and service issues including end-user local-area network access problems, e-mail, Internet, and network or local printer problems.
  • Provide one-on-one end-user problem resolution with remote desktop tools, telephone, and in-person.
  • Diagnose and resolve desktop and laptop hardware issues.
  • Under minimal supervision, install new IT infrastructure hardware and related equipment and software.
  • Help coordinate timely support and repair on various IT equipment covered by third-party vendor maintenance agreements.
  • Manage help tickets assigned to them, ensuring maximum issue resolution in minimum time with the end user needs in focus.
  • Perform multiple, technical tasks with a need to routinely upgrade skills to meet changing job conditions.
  • Documentation - creating and maintaining documentation for IT systems, network diagrams, workflow diagrams, and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Remote Support - Providing remote assistance to users and resolving technical issues remotely using remote desktop tools and other remote support technologies.
  • Asset Management - Tracking and managing IT assets, including hardware and hardware warranties.
  • Emergency Response - Responding promptly to IT Emergencies such as system outages, to minimize downtime to operations.
  • Adhering to the Business Policy of the SLA requirements standard.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in an IT environment with strong troubleshooting skills and networking software and hardware problems.
  • Knowledge of Windows 10, Windows Servers, Microsoft Office, and theories of network systems.
  • Experience using an ITSM tool to drive service delivery and performance.
  • Possess a valid driver's license.
  • Equivalent to high school diploma or general education degree (GED) with at least one-year college level course work.
  • Technician, IT Enterprise Operations I must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and automobile insurance. Driver's license must be verified by completing a background check and motor vehicle record check at the time of hire.
  • Technician, IT Enterprise Operations I, are required to timely travel to multiple offices per day, in some cases several times per day, and must have reliable means of transportation to travel to assigned offices.
  • In lieu of a valid driver's license and automobile insurance, Technician, IT Enterprise Operations I must have reliable means of alternate transportation which would allow for required, timely travel to multiple offices per day, in some cases several times per day.

Nice-to-haves

  • A+, Network + Certification, and or ITIL, or MCP (Microsoft certified professional)
  • 2 years of experience providing end-user phone support.
  • Associate degree or higher or equivalent experience
  • Healthcare IT experience in an enterprise environment.
