JOB DESCRIPTION Select Chemistry's Maintenance Technician maintains and performs almost all plant equipment repairs. This position is responsible for keeping all the equipment in safe operating order and for performing routine building/facility maintenance. Maintenance employees must obtain the necessary parts and tools to perform all jobs safely, as well as monitor spare parts and supplies to ensure that the plant operates safely and efficiently. The essential job functions include, but are not limited to Works in accordance with safety regulations and procedures at all times (LOTO, Confined Spaces, Hazardous Material Handling procedures, etc.). Read equipment P&IDs and blueprints to aid in troubleshooting of issues. Must be able to repair and maintain electrical and mechanical equipment, such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, computer-controlled systems, and production machines and equipment. Install and maintain welded steel pipe. Fabricate, install, and maintain threaded steel pipe. Troubleshoot and repair pumps, gearboxes, and mechanical seals. Monitor all equipment daily in order to maintain proper working order. Develop parts list and parts inventory list. Perform basic vehicle and forklift repairs. Ability to perform basic welding including stick, MIG, and TIG. Experience operating machinery - welding machine, torch, power tools. Experience operating motor vehicles - forklift, man lift, golf cart, truck. Availability to be on-call when necessary for afterhours and weekend work. Available for mandatory overtime when necessary to repair critical issues. Hands on attitude to get things done with the ability to manage change.
