About the position

The Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician at Walmart is responsible for maintaining and repairing refrigeration HVAC equipment within Walmart facilities. This role requires hands-on skills in commercial HVAC and refrigeration, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and providing prompt responses to maintenance calls. The technician will work in a dynamic environment, utilizing various tools and technologies to support the operational needs of the store.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair Walmart facility's Refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets.
• Utilize the work order management system to receive and document repair activities.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations by following safety policies and environmental guidelines.
• Lift up to 75 pounds and work at heights as needed.

Requirements

• 2 years' experience in commercial Refrigeration HVAC maintenance.
• Large Scale Rack Refrigeration Experience.
• Type I/Type II or Universal EPA Certification for Refrigerant handling.
• Hold a valid state-issued driver's license with a clean driving record.
• 18 years or older with a High School Diploma or equivalent.

Nice-to-haves

• Completion of a 2-year Vocational or Technical HVAC/R program.
• Mechanical license in city and/or state where job is located.
