This position is located at Pillar Point Air Force Station near Half Moon Bay, CA. This position is not eligible for telecommuting.
Responsibilities
- Lead technicians in operating and maintaining telemetry mission equipment (antenna systems, receiver/combiners, data recorders, bit synchronizers, signal conditioners, modulators, display recorders and networks)
- Lead technicians in performance of all maintenance, equipment/system status reporting, configuration control and logistics duties in accordance with the Integrated Organizational and Depot Maintenance Plan (IODMP) and related Operating Instructions (OI)
- Lead technicians in troubleshooting electronic hardware to component level, and perform repairs in accordance with technical orders, maintenance manuals and schematics.
- Lead technicians in operating oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, multi-meters, and specialty RF test equipment in support of maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Lead technicians in performing daily operations and launch support activities according to standardized checklists and work instructions.
- Adhere to established policies and procedures pertaining to job site safety and security
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Good analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent multitasking skills
- Associate's degree or two-year certificate from college or technical school with related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Five years related technician experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook)
- Experience providing operating and maintaining telemetry equipment, preferred.
Nice-to-haves
- Able to work at heights up to 50 feet
- Able to lift, push, pull and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Able to sustain prolonged periods of standing, kneeling and or repeated stooping
- The flexibility to work non-duty hours or on weekends to support specific project or mission requirements
- Able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance, which includes U.S. citizenship
- Valid U.S. Driver's License
