The technician will monitor security procedures and perform access control for all production systems, which is essential for safeguarding sensitive information and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. In addition to system monitoring, the technician will be responsible for performing backups, recovery, and systems monitoring. This includes directing input and output queues, readers, writers, and classes to meet scheduling commitments. Documentation is a key part of the role, as the technician must document all new, changing, and malfunctioning jobs related to hardware and software in a helpdesk environment. Troubleshooting software and hardware issues online is also a significant responsibility, aimed at maintaining performance and system throughput. The technician will monitor job output, ensuring proper printing, correct breakdown, and accurate delivery of customer files. They will also maintain and monitor hardware and software on network systems, including LAN/WAN systems and phone systems, ensuring that corporate cell phones are functioning correctly. The role requires maintaining a tape library and monitoring available resources, as well as managing the Windows-based Active Directory and File Server to ensure proper printing and accurate delivery of customer files. Environmental monitoring is another critical responsibility, as the technician will oversee the AC, humidity, and temperature of computer equipment. The technician will assist users in resolving problems with computer hardware and software, acting as a backup for the help desk. Coordination with vendor service providers for scheduling work is also part of the job, along with training users on new or modified equipment. The technician will perform system software loading and hardware maintenance on administrative computer systems and networks, ensuring compliance with regulatory controls, PCI, and Sarbanes-Oxley policies. Additionally, the technician will assist with project management to coordinate the installation of new systems or upgrades, establish network environments, and troubleshoot system outages.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Experience with Microsoft Windows Server and software troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of PCI, AIX, LAN, UNIX, SOX, Windows, AS400, VMWare, Active Directory, and ESXi.
  • 1 year of help desk experience (preferred).
  • 1 year of experience with Windows (preferred).
  • Ability to commute to Evansville, IN 47708 (required).
  • Ability to relocate to Evansville, IN 47708 before starting work (required).
