About the position

The Technician position in the Depot Department at RGNext involves supporting the Depot Repair Unit (DRU) operations, focusing on the triage of incoming items and managing vendor returns and equipment repairs. This role is critical in ensuring the functionality of mission-critical systems that support space launch and defense operations. The position requires working in a lab environment and involves tasks related to electronic and electromechanical equipment, with an emphasis on safety and compliance with established standards.

Responsibilities

  • Support all aspects of the Depot Repair Unit (DRU) repair operations.
  • Provide support for the triage of incoming DRU items and vendor Return Materials Authorizations (RMA's).
  • Assist with Purchase Requisitions for equipment repairs and parts.
  • Conduct Depot Repair Unit Monthly Activity Report (DRUMAR) data entry.
  • Research needed parts for repairing equipment related to Command Destruct, Radar, Telemetry, Weather, UPS, Communications, Area Surveillance, and Range Safety.
  • Work with computers and servers, and applicable site equipment processed through the DRU.
  • Perform other duties and cross-utilization as assigned.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in business administration, technology related, or two (2) year technical school, or equivalent military experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Minimum of two years of applicable experience in Microsoft Office Systems or applicable range experience.
  • Ability to read and comprehend electrical/electronic schematics, wiring diagrams, and cable assembly drawings.
  • Ability to multi-task in an ever-changing environment with minimal supervision.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Environmental and OSHA Standards.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in schematics reading and comprehension.
  • Familiarity with shop work orders (SWO's), specifications sheets, and OEM manuals.
