About the position
The Automobile Technician is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing cars and light trucks. She/he provides the mechanical support for the automobile dealership. This position requires proficient use of tools, such as computerized diagnostic tools and power tools.
Responsibilities
- Inspect vehicles to determine the need for repairs or maintenance.
- Perform routine maintenance on vehicles, including oil changes and tire rotations.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues in cars and light trucks.
- Utilize computerized diagnostic tools to identify problems.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an automobile technician or mechanic.
- Knowledge of diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Ability to work with various tools and machinery.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver's license.
Nice-to-haves
- Certification from a recognized automotive program.
- Experience with specific vehicle brands or models.
- ASE certification.
